the summation of the pieces of work i have written and would like to share. in various different styles and levels of completion, upon various different topics. in heavy progress now as i go through past work of mine and add it to the site, as well as write more.
Primarch Pairings: A meditation upon the Warhammer 40,000 characters of "Primarchs", and their relations with one another. For those uninitiated but who would still like to read, the Primarchs are essentially a collection of 18 demigod-esque figures, each of whom were gene-sculpted to perfection by their father The Emperor, to lead a legion of super soldiers who take their own genes and in many cases their likeness. They each have unique relations with eachother, especially after half of the primarchs fell to evil ("chaos") and betrayed their father. I very much love the setting and am compelled to write about it often - it's gratuitous sense of satirising sci-fi tropes really has a lot to love.
MCR: A love letter to what I believe to be the absolute exquisite songwriting in the American pop-emo band My Chemical Romance.
To Love Gothic Metal: A documentation of a quest I went on to find the perfect gothic metal album. Mainly a diary-esque piece but I will elaborate on my feelings towards some of these bands certainly and what it is that makes me tick about gothic metal.
Notes on the early Christians: I studied theology for a time, and during that time became enamoured with the early Christian Church and how much beauty came from the utter conviction in the divinity of Christ. I intend to write about it properly one day, but contained within is a composite of various passages I've written to a number of friends concerning my somewhat meta-physical takes upon the power of conviction and how it relates for the early Christians
Meta-constructs: An explanation and justification of my concept of "meta-constructs", a philosophical position developed from my understanding of Platonism that I developed. Been described as sensible philosophy imbued with a sense of "crazy enthusiasm", owing to my utter and complete enthusiasm towards a real love for humanity. Will form some of the basis of my writings about the importance of optimism as an idea.
Fascist Art: A piece of work on a perceived inconsistency I found between the work of the Situationist International and their approach to recuperation, and the existence of the cadre of fascist warnoise artists like Intolitarian, as well as a call for members of all communist tendencies to focus less on their rage, and more on their love. Written partially because I had it knocking around in my head, but also for publishing under a friend's newspaper, The Communist Perspective
Zmartwychstawanie: The first poem I have ever written, so I'm sure I'll find it more and more embarassing as time comes on. Provisional for now as I will likely change parts but I feel comfortable sharing on the site for posterity. The title comes from conversations with a friend - "Zmartwychstawanie" is a Polish word that he took to mean "metamorphosis", or generally referring to change, but he was told it more accurately means more of a resurrection as in Christ. This kind of association really struck with me - obvious associations with the Trans Stuff:tm:. Otherwise, the concept of being t4t is something that plays on my head a hell of a lot lately, and this is an evocation of it.
Daydreaming?: A short poem about my recent tendency to daydream about a particular thing.
Apotheosis: A pseudo-narrative poem exploring the perspectives of Shinji and Kaworu during the events of Neon Genesis: Evangelion. Attempts to deliver their character in the language, and explore their main conflict with relation to the intense love they shared with eachother. Very Gay Poem. Primarily just an experiment with writing less metaphorical poetry but I enjoyed it, I liked trying to deliver their emotions in writing.
Rancour: A surprisingly personal and emotional poem that I wrote in a fit of incredibly powerful anger towards a situation that was afflicting me. Fortunately helped me to soothe my anger slightly. Also uses a number of quotes from other sources, namely the title and one of the lines in the final stanza being from a Magic: The Gathering card. Weird piece of work to share but this is my site and I can do what I want with it!
Favourites: A weird little personal disjointed ode to the reality of living with a disorder that afflicts me with a powerful sense of love to a select few people.
Frustration: I hate having no emotional permanence! And this is my bizarre little cry out into the wind about it
clara: Something I wrote about someone who is very important to me :].
untitled: awkward to share but deserved saving for posterity - a small piece of vent poetry that i wrote when very upset over what i assume is obvious
Paradise Lost?: A piece I wrote around abandoning my religous faith, the gap it left in my romanticism, and the steps of replacing faith in god with faith in communism. credit must be given to Sherwin T. Wine's "A Provocative People", the writings within concerning Jewish Marxists being a colossal influence upon this poem.
look at her: BIG SIGH. evocation of homosexuality. A small little 8 line evocation that I am embarassingly proud of actually. Also marked my 10th poem! poet arc strong!
stone: an expression of some very extreme and near paralysing fear i have been dealing with lately, in acceptance of what little expression i have of emotional permanence.
kocham: the polish verb meaning "i love" is "kocham", and this poem is a little artistic approach to a little bit of a love narrative i've watched in myself :)
